Burn Services Research, Inc. (BSRI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing burn care and improving recovery outcomes for burn survivors through education, research, and collaboration.
BSRI was founded with a clear purpose: to ensure that healthcare professionals have access to the knowledge, training, and resources needed to provide the highest standard of care to individuals affected by burn injuries. By focusing on education and professional development, BSRI works to strengthen the skills of surgeons, clinicians, and allied healthcare providers who play a critical role in burn treatment and recovery.

At this time, BSRI’s primary focus is the development and delivery of specialized training programs for medical professionals. These trainings are designed to share best practices, evidence-based approaches, and real-world expertise in burn care, rehabilitation, and recovery.
Through hands-on learning opportunities, collaborative education, and expert-led instruction, BSRI aims to elevate burn care across institutions and disciplines.
What We Do
We connect parties who are interested in measurably improving burn care protocols through innovative research-based best practices. This includes identifying funding for IRB-approved research studies, connecting parties who will advance these studies, and assisting with publishing the results for peer review.
Scope of Work
Our work is mainly concentrated within the USA but may include international partners where collaboration advances the effectiveness and efficiency of our work. A prime focus of the BSRI is the advancement of scar remediation and post-surgical skin normalization.
